Alan Bettin Swimming Pools is a second-generation family-run business specialising in swimming pool refurbishment, installation and maintenance. Established in 1957, we serve the entirety of Surrey from our base in Farnham. Our team of professional swimming pool builders are members of The Federation of Master Builders (FMB), National Leisure and The Institute of Swimming Pool Engineers (ISPE).

Our History

Alan Bettin Swimming Pools Ltd have been constructing swimming pools for over 60 years in the Surrey, with the landscape side of the business operating since 1957, having been started by its founder, the late Alan Bettin. During this time, we have been trading consistently and haven’t changed or altered our name or location, for any purpose. The company is now run by brothers Paul and Nick Bettin.

Our Background

Paul Bettin – Managing Director

Paul joined the company in August 1976, starting at the bottom and learning about the business with hands-on experience in pool construction, filtration and heating installation, as well as servicing and maintenance. After rising to Company Manager in 1985, Paul became Managing Director in August 1988 when Alan Bettin retired from the business.

Nick Bettin – Service Director

Nick joined the company for a brief spell in 1983, before gaining other business experience elsewhere. He returned to the company fulltime in 1987 and became a Director in September 1997.

Calvin Stapley TnISPE – Contracts Manager

Calvin joined Alan Bettin Swimming Pools Ltd in 2018 and shortly after passed the ISPE examination qualifying as a pool technician, he currently works on our new build pools and refurbishment projects. He has an engineering background in commercial refrigeration, HVAC, residential new builds and renovations, bringing with him over 20 years of project management experience.

Tom Fotheringham TnISPE – Service Manager

Tom joined Alan Bettin Swimming Pools Ltd in 2019 and supports Nick and the Engineers in the Service department. Having previously worked as a General Manager at various Leisure Complexes he is now applying his skills and knowledge to the private sector and is currently studying to become a member of the Institute of Swimming Pool Engineers
